Virginia Marie Ellis passed away in Edmonds, WA, on August 2, 2018. She was a longtime resident of Everett, WA. She was born January 10, 1921, in Easton, PA.
Virginia entered the US Navy in 1942 and proudly served 16 years. She achieved the rank of Chief Yeoman. Virginia continued to work with Civil Service until her retirement.
Virginia enjoyed golfing, traveling and knitting. For many years, and up until her passing, she knitted hats for Operation School Bell, a service of Assistance League of Everett, always meeting her goal of 500 hats per school year.
Her favorite memories and best stories were of her family when she was young, her time in the Navy and her experiences living in Turkey and Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William A. Ellis, daughter, Rosemary Fitzpatrick, son-in-law, John Fitzpatrick, sister, Angelina Vogt and brother, Victor Charles.
She is survived by son, Jon (Cindy), daughter, Christina (John), granddaughter, Jennifer Fitzpatrick, grand-sons, Jon Jr. and Gary; great grandchildren, Isabelle, Cameron, Crystal, Jaxon and Landon; sisters, Dolly McVey and Marjorie Kisling, brother, Robert Charles and many dear friends.
At her request no services will be held.
Donations in her memory may be made to Assistance League of Everett.
