"Words cannot express the loss of my brother. Total shock. Lots of good memories. I have been reminiscing how we grew up, had some hard times but we made it through. Michael was happy with the way things turned out for us. He loved his hunting bow and rifle would send me pictures of his trophies lol. When we talked on the phone he would always say ?hay Montana ? I always got a kick out of that. Michael loved Sue and Elizabeth very much they were his rock. The last time I was in the yoop he and I and Sue went golfing, it was my first time on a golf course he gave me all the pointers on how to do it. After we got back to the clubhouse he asked me how I did I said what do you mean he said that card I gave you to mark the hole scores I said oh that?s what that?s for, I said I think I won he asked why I said you put 6 in the woods I put 4 he just shook his head. I will miss my brother with much love and I will see him again."

"Sue, Elizabeth and the rest of Mike\'s family. I know I speak for many of Mike\'s friends and classmates when I say how deeply saddened and shocked we were to hear of Mike\'s passing. He truly was a friend to all. I really enjoyed our messaging back and forth on the Tigers and Packers. Loved seeing his decoy pictures complete with names, lol. Or when he would see a recipe that intrigued him and would tag Sue ( Mrs Beerman). Please accept my most sincere condolences and know that many of us hurt with you. Til we meet again Michael, may you fly high."

"Our deepest condolences to Mike\'s family. Mike was a good friend in the golf league and at Tuesday morning bagels. We really enjoyed the way he would tell stories about his experiences in the woods. It also became obvious how the Yoopers have a great love for ice hockey. Mike was kind, generous and thoughtful. We are very sad at his passing and will miss him greatly."

Frank Skeltis wrote on Jun 15, 2020:
"If the dictionary had a definition of \"good guy,\" Mike\'s description and picture would be it. He always made people feel happy with his friendliness and good humor. Plus, he had a good heart. When I suffered a heart attack, Mike was one of the first to stop by to offer support. When covid hit, he called us to see how we were doing. When he was president of the golf league, he always had some funny, interesting events planned to liven up the event. Who will ever forget the \"Yooper Open\" with a tree branch for a putter or using only three clubs in your bag. Every Tuesday, we eight \"Bagel Boys\" would meet at Panera to solve the world\'s problems and chat about the lousy Tigers or Lions---but Mike didn\'t care because he was a Packer\'s fan (and he didn\'t feel sorry for us one little bit.) Pictures of deer and turkey were on his phone (with no offense intended to you, Sue and Elizabeth.) You always knew that Mike cared about you. There is a simple word that described him best: FRIEND. We will and already greatly miss you, Buddy. God has called up a good one. Love you, Mike. Frank Skeltis"
