A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Corwith Cemetery. Following the Graveside Service there will be a Celebration of Life held at Stilson Park in Corwith.

Paul Frederick Lenz, son of Roland and Luella (Oberhelman) Lenz, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on April 14th, 2020, after a short battle with lung cancer.

Paul was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on March 12th, 1952. He grew up on a farm outside of Lu Verne, Iowa, and graduated from Lu Verne High School in 1970. On March 25th, 1972, Paul was united in marriage with Jean Haugland, and from that union, they were blessed with two daughters: Jennifer and Laura. Jean passed away unexpectedly on July 31st, 1983, leaving Paul lost for many years. He was found when he met Sue Nash and married her on December 20th, 1997. This marriage was blessed with two more daughters: Erin and Molly.

Paul worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his life, and after retiring in May of 2019, he worked on his many hobbies. As an avid outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, birdwatching, and whatever else the outdoors would offer. He had a competitive nature and enjoyed playing card games and board games with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandpa; family meant the world to him.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Luella Lenz, first wife Jean Lenz, brother Jim Lenz, sister- and brother-in-law Linda and Roger Lunning, mother- and father-in-law Bjarne and Dorothy Haugland, and father-in-law Dr. Kevin Nash.

Left to cherish Paul's memory are his wife of 22 years, Sue, daughters Jennifer (Nick Bormann) Lenz, Laura (Chad) Presthus, Erin Lenz, and Molly Lenz, grandchildren Matthew Presthus, Katelyn Presthus, and Seth Presthus, great-grandson Damon, brothers Warren (Deb) Lenz, Dave Lenz, and Mark (Peggy) Lenz, mother-in-law Charlotte Nash, sister-in-law Gail Jaworski and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
