SHIRLEY ANN NEDEAU
October 19, 1929 - June 10, 2020

Shirley Ann Nedeau, 90, of Marquette, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 10, 2020 at U.P. Health System-Marquette.

Shirley was born on October 19, 1929 in Marquette, a daughter of the late Edmond and Mary Lillian (Racine) Trottier and was a 1947 graduate of Graveraet High School.

On October 23, 1954 she married Lewis Nedeau at St. John's Catholic Church in Marquette.

Shirley was previously employed at the former Just for Her female clothing store at the Marquette Mall for 10 years. She was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church assisting with their altar society at funeral lunches for many years.

Time with family was very important to Shirley. She enjoyed playing golf as well as going on walks at the Superior Dome or outside with her family and friends. She was also a voracious reader and enjoyed baking. Cross Country skiing was a favorite pastime in previous years.

Shirley is survived by three loving children, Mike (Karen) Nedeau of Littleton, CO; Steve (Tammy) Nedeau of Saratoga Springs, UT, and Laurie Nedeau of Marquette; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Michelle Nedeau, Jake and Matt Nedeau; also a niece, Sandy (Joe) Meyskens of Marquette and a nephew, Bob (Sandy) Petersen of Marquette. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Lewis Nedeau on February 5, 2006; a brother, Robert Trottier, killed in action during World War II, and a sister, Rita Pertersen.

Shirley's family would like to thank Brookridge Heights Assisted Living for the care and comfort they provided her over the past three years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church at a later date with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are kindly asked to consider the St. Michael Memorial Fund, 401 W. Kaye Ave., Marquette, MI 49855 in Shirley's memory.
