RUSHFORD, MN - Isabel "Izzy" H. Johnson, 93, of Rushford, MN died on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Winona Health in Winona, MN.
Izzy was born on November 3, 1926, in Lanesboro, MN to Selmer and Mary (Gullilckson) Topness. She was raised on the Topness family farm in the Highland area. On November 23, 1946, she was united in marriage with Conrad Johnson at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, MN. Izzy and Conrad farmed in the Highland and Oak Ridge areas for many years until they retired in Money Creek, MN in 1971.
Isabel was a very sweet lady who loved animals.
She is survived by her children: Gary Johnson of Rochester, MN, Greg (Deanna) Johnson of Winona, MN Terry Johnson of St. Louis Park, MN, and Jerry Johnson of Goodview, MN; a daughter-in law, Lynn Johnson of West Salem, WI; grandchildren: Jamie (Nikki) Johnson, Benjamin (Aubrey) Johnson, Christopher (Kayla) Johnson, Abigail (Clinton) Charles, and Nathaniel Johnson; and by four great-grandchildren: Hunter Conrad Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Camille Gale Marie Charles, and Ava Marr; and by many nieces and nephews.
Izzy was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Gale; brothers: Leonard, Clarence and Sidney Topness; and by a sister, Minerva Thompson.
There will be a private family graveside service at Elstad Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lanesboro, MN. Memorial cards may be sent to Hoff Funeral Home c/o Isabel Johnson Family, P.O. Box 625 Rushford, MN 55971.
