Sarah Fuller Callahan, 63, passed away at home surrounded by her family on April 26, 2018 after battling cancer.
A native of Laurel, MS, Sarah was born March 18, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Fuller, her husband, Lee Callahan, her son, James Callahan, and her sister, Janie Harris.
Sarah graduated from R. H. Watkins High School in 1973, attended Jones County Junior College as a member of the tennis team, then attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Sarah was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jackson, MS. She worked as a medical technologist in Jackson for many years.
Sarah was vivacious, humorous, and a friend to everyone she met. She had an optimistic outlook on life and her positive attitude was contagious.
She is survived by her daughter, Maggie (Landon) Nelson of Alpharetta, GA, her son, Sam Callahan of Jackson, MS, her granddaughter, Emma Nelson, her sister Diane (Gerald) Seal of Picayune, MS, her brothers Jim (Suzy) Fuller of Greenwood, SC, and Lee Fuller of Jackson, MS, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at First-Trinity Presbyterian Church of Laurel, MS (500 North 5th Ave) on May 5, 2018. Visitation is noon until 1:00PM with the service following. Memorial contributions may be made to First-Trinity.
