"Jane was a tremendous leader with our agency. She cared about people and was always very supportive of me when I first became an Area Director. Jane was always available to talk about any issues and to offer her insight, while still allowing those reporting to her to make decisions as needed. Later, when I transferred to Atlanta I really enjoyed the conversations we had in the regional office. I especially enjoyed her sense of humor and the way she could make you feel better when things might not be going well.Jane was one of the most brilliant people I have ever known. Her grasp of so many subjects was always amazing to me. I am so thankful that I had a chance to talk with Jane and Molly recently at Perimeter Mall. It made my day to have just a few minutes to talk with someone that I have always respected so much.Jane will be greatly missed by all those who worked with her over the years, either at SSA or Chamberlin-Edmonds. As someone said to me recently, Jane was one of the really good people at SSA.My condolences to the family.Tommy Morris"

"I knew of Jane for several years before we were actually introduced in 1988. She shared dinner with my Claims Representative Class at the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. She was quite entertaining! Years later when I worked at the SSA Regional Office in Atlanta, Jane called to congratulate me on the move. I could always count on her to send me a Chamberlin Edmonds calendar with a personal note each year. When I became Area Director for Mississippi in 2009, Jane again called and welcomed me home (I'm a Mississippi boy). Jane was a classy lady and will be missed. My condolences to her family. - Mark C. Walker, SSA Area Director (Mississippi)"
