In loving memory of

Alice Mary Barron
December 27, 1925 - June 17, 2018

Alice Mary (Lee) Barron, 92, passed into eternal rest peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2018, following being bid farewell by those she loved, her family.  Alice was born December 27, 1925, in Philadelphia to Charles Joseph Graham and Margaret Higgins. Her legacy of love and compassion is carried on by her 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Alice attended Little Flower Catholic High School in Philadelphia, where she excelled.  She was married to George William Barron, Sr for 70 years until his passing. The couple met at a Saint Martin's Catholic Church fair in Philadelphia when Alice was 16 and George was 17. Alice won his heart forever that day. A few years later, the couple married February 21, 1946, in Atlanta while George was a student at Georgia Tech.

Alice is preceded in death by her beloved parents, her forever sweetheart, George, her brothers Charles Joseph Graham and John G Graham, her loving sister Margaret "Peggy" Dorr and many other fore bearers with whom she has gathered in our promised paradise in Heaven.

Alice leaves behind the family whom she cherished including her five children; Christine Macaulay, George Jr, Charles, Gregory and Mark. Her grandchildren include Mark, Christina, Kimberly, Amy, George III, David, Michael, Courtenay, Meghan, Whitney, Ashley, Brett, Matthew, Jason, Graham and Grant as well as 23 great-grandchildren. While we are left to mourn her loss, we know she is rejoicing in the eternal reunion of those who have gone before and to which we all will one day join.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Saint Benedict's Catholic Church, 11045 Parsons Road, Duluth, Georgia at 10:30 am. The interment will be the following morning Wednesday, June 20th at 10:30 am at Georgia National Memorial Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Alice Graham Barron to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
