G. Donovan McNely, of Marietta, GA, died January 20, 2008, at 67. He was born on June 10, 1940, in Dunsmuir CA, and grew up in Indio, graduating from Coachella Valley High School before earning his Bachelors degree from Long Beach State University. An Information Technology professional, he worked for several prestigious firms in his long career. He retired in 2005, spending many long hours crafting wood projects in his home shop. He was an avid swimmer and diver, and loved swimming with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cruises and travelling with his wife and friends. He is survived by his wife,Leslie P. McNely, his sister, Karen, his sons Donovan and Brian, and his grandchildren Aaron, Brianna, Danielle, Mesa, Alex, and Abbey. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Orange United Methodist Church in Canton, GA, at 11:00 AM.
