In loving memory of

Christopher T. Graham
January 28, 1954 - October 3, 2012

GRAHAM, CHRISTOPHER T. Chris Graham triumphed over ALS with wit, courage, and resilient faith, arriving to safe harbor with God and the great host of witnesses on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Dr. Christopher T. Graham, age 58, of Roswell, GA, is survived by his wife Carol Graham of 34 years; his children, Katie, Taylor, and Drew; grandchildren, Emily, Avery and Elliot; his two sisters, Kay Ann Rudd and Nancy Moreland; brother, Steve; his mother Kean Ann Graham. The celebration of his life will occur first in an informal service of story sharing and song with family and friends on Friday evening at 7 o'clock pm at Church of the Savior at 1950 Old Alabama Road in Roswell and during the memorial service on Saturday, October 13 at 2 o'clock pm at Northside Drive Baptist Church at 3100 Northside Drive NW in Atlanta. Graduating from Enid High School in 1972, Oklahoma Baptist University in 1976, Southern Baptist Seminary with a Master of Divinity in 1981, and Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in 1991 with a Doctor of Ministry. Dr. Graham championed the mantra that " Jesus died to take away our sins, not our minds." He served several parishes throughout his lifetime, but his most recent tenure was a pastor of Church of the Savior, a UCC congregation in Roswell, and as chaplain at Compassionate Hospice of Georgia. His passions included working in his garden; running the Peachtree Road Race in July; taking up the cello at the age of 50 and advancing to perform the Prelude to Bach's Cello Suite No.1; dialoguing in interfaith community with Jews. Muslims, and Christians; and challenging parishioners to explore the mystery of God by looking to the tangible in one another. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Dr. Graham to the ALS Association of Georgia, 1955 Cliff Valley Way, #116, Atlanta, GA 30329.
