"We are still in shock that you are gone Tony. We shared so many good memories with you, Erma, Kalama and Ailana. Birthday parties to just talking. You always had so much to talk about, especially your Clippers and Chris's Lakers. We got to talk to you before we left for vacation, you called to see if I was ok and if I had my surgery yet and although I didn't get to do it, you were always saying call me if you need anything and call me when you do it. Brandon now has a special Angel watching over him. Erma, Kalama and Ailana we love you and if you need anything we are here. Brandon loves his godparents and so do we. Love, Chris, Sherry, Brandon, Kainoa, Rachel, Jr, Ikaika and Keenan"

"I met Tony Escalona in 1983 during a short window of time where he attended St. Louis High School in Honolulu. He immediately fit in with a bunch of us Kanalui Canoe Paddlers and we all became very close friends. Even though it was a short period of time that we knew him, he was one of us, kindred spirits, partied with us, paddled canoe, lived life as young teenagers do. I'm deeply saddened by his passing, my prayers go out to the family of Tony Escalona, I know he will be missed. Sam Kapu III Everett Ka'ae Dominic Chang Dean Deguzman Danny Kinilau Jason Yoshimura if I forgot one of the crew I apologize"

"Dear Erma, Kalama, Ailana, and family, even though my kids, husband, and I met Tony a few months ago at our kids hula and drumming class, we are devastated by his passing. Tony had a very special way about him and I grew to enjoy our conversations even if they were short. One of my favorite conversations with Tony was about the Clippers because we shared that love for the team. I can honestly say that from what I saw, he was a very devoted father and husband and his love for his family was evident. Tony will be missed because individuals like him are hard to come by! Stay strong and know that we are here for you. With love and sympathy, The Gonzales Family Gerald, Maria, Isaac, Isabella, and Ivan"
"Dear Escalona Family - We are so sad to hear about Tony. We met through our kids' classes - hula and drumming. We knew him only for a short time but feel so lucky to have met such a warm, kind-hearted, and devoted man. Our deepest sympathies to Erma, Kalama, Ailana and the rest of your family. What a loss to lose such a special person way too soon!! All our love and condolences - Kecia, Tom, Melia & Myles Knoell"
"I enjoyed working with Tony and our conversation about his family and what he was doing to his house, from the paint, the grass and the fence. He would always keep me updated on what was going on as I delivered in the area. He was truly a gentleman and my friend."
"I'll always remember getting greeting cards for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fathers Day, and every other holiday from Anthony (growing up, the close cousins always called him Anthony, not Tony ) It was like clockwork. And before and after every Pacquiao fight I'd get a text and we'd go back and forth about the fight. One time when we were young, Anthony, Chris, and I went fishing with my Dad. We found a dead hammerhead shark and a baby sheerwater bird and hid them in the back of my Dad's truck. When we got home he found out and threw up from the smell of the dead shark and we all got dirty yellings!! Lol!! Then another time Anthony reversed the truck in the driveway (I'm sure he didn't have a drivers license, he might have been only like 12 or 13 yrs old) so we could dunk the basketball off of the tailgate and we broke the backboard and got more dirty yellings! Lol!!! Greatest family man in the world!!! Our heartfelt condolences go out to Erma, Kalama, and Ailana... Anthony will be missed by many... Alex, Nancy, Andrew, and Jess"
"What I know about Cuz Anthony he always always put his Family first and his willingness to help others who are in need. You will be surely missed."
"A true gentleman. Not a bad bone in his body. He would hold doors open for you or drive hundreds of miles for you. Always caring for others. Family meant everything to him. Baba, he was so proud to be your brother. I remember your wedding dress. Anthony kept bragging about how you sewed it yourself and he insisted we look at it...to check out every little detail. It was never about him and always about everyone else. So many wonderful memories. My prayers go out to his family."
"Our heartfelt sympathy to the family. Tony was a classmate of mine and always was a sincere person. He will always be remembered as a kind, genuine person. ...tracy bukoski"
"I love you Uncle Tony! You've always been there for me, and always knew how to make me smile:) I'll never forget when I visited you in California one time. I took Ailana to the American Girl Place and you had this smirk on your face (I could tell you didn't want to be there but you smiled through it anyway). I was so sad when I found out that you had past, but say hi to Grandma for me. LOVE YOU UNCLE! -Nialani Green"
"Peaceful White Lilies Basket was purchased for the family of Anthony M. Escalona."
"Genuine....that was Anthony. When something good would happen, he would truly feel your joy and share your happiness. When life seemed like it couldn't get any worse, he could understand what you're going through and find the most hilarious things to say to make life 'all good' again. If anyone needed a hand, he would be there with 2 hands to help. Need an opinion? He'd give you an honest one with words of encouragement and advice. How many brothers would take the time to show their sister how to change a tire just in case she needed to do so one day? He looked out for the people he cared about like that. Erma, Kalama & Ailana, you know exactly what I'm talking about, as you all meant the world to him. Braddah, I wish you didn't have to go so soon! Please thank mom for me, for the life lessons. You da bestest Braddah I evah had!!!!! Love, Baba"
"Work was never boring when tony would be around simply because there would always be conversations and jokes with him. I will never forget when I was pregnant and working he would always ask me if I was ok or if I needed anything. He did said I would be a great mom because he said I have a kind and a sweet heart. I promise I will do anything to be the best mom to my daughter. Thanks for always caring and for your help through the tough times at work. Will never forget you my friend. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to work with an amazing guy. You will be missed."
"Amazing, kind person that was always willing to help when needed. It was a pleasuring having him as a co-worker and loved hearing his stories about his kids."

"Many memories at work I have with Tony. It might sound like a broken record as all of us who worked with Tony would tell you that He was a wonderfu, joyful hard working and a pleasure to be around . I remember having an issue at one of my stops and him giving me great advice and having my back with letting the mangers know how things were at that stop. I remember joking with him about his drug store glasses he would wear on the belt to see the address on the packages . Or him always trying to talk me into going fulltime at work . He would always make sure to let me know when a route opened up . I remember how fascinated he was with farms and always asked about my family farm in idaho .I will miss Tony but I will keep these memories with me forever"
"~words cannot express the sadness and heartache we all are feeling since you left us so suddenly. We are still in shock and denial. Not a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day or any holiday goes by without a card from you, Erma & the kids. You always took the time to show us how much you cared. It was so nice seeing you last month even though it was a quick visit. We would never have thought that that would be our last time with you. Heaven just got another Angel and I know you will still look in on all of us. You were a great son, brother, husband, father, cousin, uncle, god-father and friend. You are missed but will never be forgotten. Rest in paradise Anthony, We miss you and love you always. Our Hearts go out especially to Erma, Kalama, Ailana, Uncle Tony & Barbara. "You know, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. Have you found joy in your life? 'Has your life brought joy to others? This was Tony everyday at work. He always brought Joy to his Fedex coworker. Amazing soul. Happy to have met you on this Journey . I will miss you and our talks. May the Angels watch over you and your family. Hugs. Love little O."
"Dearest Erma, Kalama, and Ailana, I know there are no words to express the sadness and loss we are all feeling, you especially.
