"Thank you Grandma for everything you did for me . The love ,happiness we share when I spend the summers when I was little girl. We would talk and learn to speak each other language. We would laugh and go shopping and you teach me prayers before gong to bed. I remember when you would show me how to sew and make doll clothes. Love you Grandma. I hope I can live as long as you did. When I look at your picture. I cannot believe how you look so good for your age (105). I am glad my oldest grandson Ben and youngest son Bobby got to meet you. I wish my other children were here to meet you too. The family so is big..But there is so much love and caring. Tell my Mom and dad and Grandpa, Uncle Pete,Uncle Tony, Aunt Challo and Aunt Carmen. Hello for us. And there will be a day when we all can be together again. In Jesus name .AMEN"

"My Grandmother spoke mostly spanish, but I remember how we all loved to laugh, eat, gossip, have a few drinks. All fun with all the relatives. My Mother, Felicia, Catalinas now oldest daughter, and I with my 3 sons, came to visit her recently. Catalina was at times sleepy and attentive, during one of her sleepy moments, my mother was talking closely to her, when suddenly Grandma says out loud, MENUDO! She smelled menudo because my mother and I had just gone to breakfast before coming to visit Grandma. It was sooooo funny! I well remember my Grandmother lovingly, she had such grace, and she was beautiful for her age. I hope to live as long and as full of life as my Grandmother. Be at Peace.Pat (Trish) Tarvis (Villalpando)"
