Joshua Blake Hartley went home to be with his Lord on Saturday January 25th at the young age of 23. Joshua and twin brother, Jeremy, were born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on October 7, 1996. The family moved to Ocala, Florida in 2005, and Ocala is where Josh made his life and grew to call home. He graduated from Forest High School in 2016. While in high school at the age of 16, Joshua got his first job working at La Cuisine Restaurant, where he eventually worked his way up to a server and into the hearts of the La Cuisine family. His friends and family will remember him as a bit quiet but a mischievous jokester, with a great sense of humor because he loved to make us all laugh and smile. Joshua had a heart for humanity. So many times, when approached by a homeless person or someone in need, Joshua would go above and beyond to help them. He was sympathetic and loving. Joshua was only 23, and although it seems way too short of a life, those who were touched by him understand that the quality of life far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.Joshua will continue to live on in the hearts of his momSheila and Step Dad John Jernigan; his Dad Ronnie and Step Mom Michelle Hartley; his two brothers Jordan and Jeremy Hartley; his Grandparents John and Rose Chaney, Linda Coats and Tom Wilson; Uncles Richard Hartley, Bobby Hartley, and Russell Chaney; Aunt Angie Carter; cousin Devon Hartley; as well asmany wonderful great-aunts, great-uncles, and friends.

"One of my fondest memories, is the day we went to the hospital in ardmore to have our first ultra sound, of our baby...I remember the nurse telling us as she slid the head of the ultra sound over our baby bump, that she thought we may be farther along than previously thought...within a few minutes, she gets on the phone and calls for another ultra sound machine...my wife and I looked at each other in amazement and then at the nurse doing the ultra sound...I remember the nurse telling us we have two babies in there.I wasted no time. I ran as fast as I could, to the elevator and finally to the ground floor, where I cashed as much money as I had in for quarters and began calling everyone we knew to tell them the wonderful news of our twin baby boys! I was one of the happiest days of my life."

"I remember when Josh and Jeremy was born. Jordan and i loved to play with them and i would come over as much as i could to see them. He was always full of spirit and they would let me walk them around the property to play with them. I wish i could have seen him more in the past few years but when i did see him he was so sweet and happy. I will miss him so much."

"When your kids have a best friend, they become part of your life too! We shared dinners and vacations. Anytime I needed help, Josh was always willing: mowing lawns, trimming trees, and putting up the Christmas lights! I loved you like my own. I promise you will never be forgotten."
