Mr. Dale Alden Binegar
May 13, 1925 - August 10, 2018


Dale Alden Binegar, 93, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on August 10th at Hampton Manor ALF at 24th Road in Ocala, Florida.
Dale was born near Marietta, Ohio to Elmer and Marjorie (Lane) Binegar on May 13, 1925. Dale served in U.S. Navy as a Signalman 2/C during WWII from August 1943 until March 1946. After the war, he married Geneva H. Dudley on November 6, 1947. After graduating from Barbering School he owned and operated barber shops in Marietta and Belpre, Ohio until the summer of 1969 when he moved his wife and two sons to Belleview, Florida. After a few years working as a truck driver and maintenance man, he returned to barbering and opened a shop in Belleview, Florida. After the death of his first wife Geneva in January 1986, Dale married Betty Lou (Sawyer) Dumeney in October 1988. He continued his barbering business until his retirement in 1990. During his retirement Dale and Betty spent many wonderful years traveling in their RV seeing the USA and visiting family, but always returned to their Ocala, Florida home for the winter.
Dale is survived by his wife, Betty Binegar of Ocala, Florida, his two sons, Steve Binegar of Ft. Mead, SD and Scott Binegar of Ocala, FL, His two step-sons, Mark Dumeney of Lansing, MI and Daniel Dumeney of Ocala, FL and a step-daughter Dianne Morris of Lansing, MI. Dale is also survived by his three grandchildren, Steve Binegar, Jr., Kimberly (Binegar) Lowe and Jonathan Binegar, all of Ocala, Florida and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Geneva, son Larry Binegar and a grandson Andrew Binegar.
