Robert Lamar Poole
December 30, 1940 - October 23, 2019

Robert Lamar Poole, 78, of Suwanee passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and good friend to many, Lamar was known for making the best grits. He was retired from the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation Department after 30 years of service and was a member of Alpharetta Lodge #235 FAM. Lamar is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Poole, great grandson, Sean Regna, and his parents, Oscar and Jewell Poole.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruby Lee Poole of Suwanee; a son, Raymond (Chris) Poole of Lawrenceville; daughters, Lorene Skywark of Suwanee, Vickey Cook of Lawrenceville; brothers and sisters, Butch (Becky) Poole of Cape Coral, FL, Evelyn Hendricks of Lilburn, Patsy (Larry) Hambrick of Bentonville, AR, Jimmy (Carol) Poole of Hallandale, FL, Wendy (Glynn) Canfield of Lavonia; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Hambrick.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.

"This is heart breaking. I've known lamar most of my life. I remember seeing him at the shop since I was a little girl. He truly was a great man and friend. He was our family i will never ever forget him. He would alway be right there helping keep me out of trouble at the shop while my dad worked!!The world has lost a wonderful loving man.
