Wesley Frank Echols, 53, of Canton passed awayFriday, June21, 2019. A life-long resident of this area, Wesley was a graduate of Forsyth County High School. He was a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church.

Survivorsinclude hisson, Evan T. Echols of Cherokee County;companion, Gail Cook of Cumming, and her sons, Jacob Chance and Joshua Chance;mother,Gloria Brooks of Canton; father, Bobby Frank Echolsand step-mother, Myra Echolsof Cumming;sisters, Donna Housley Leirer of Panama City, FL, DeniseBarker ofCumming,Celeste Echols Inman of Cumming; brothers, Gregory Frank Echols of Cumming, Chuck Purcelland Donna McGinnis of Cumming; andnieces and nephews,Jessica Barker, Nick Barker, Ethan Venable, Sara Venable, Jeb Purcell, Mallory Vondracek, Samuel Inman, Brett Echols, Nathan Echols, and Brian Echols.

Funeral services will beheld Sunday, June 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends atthe funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday the hour prior to the service.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory,210 Ingram Ave,Cumming, GA30040is in charge of arrangements.

"I am so saddened to hear of Wes's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul. Although it's been years since I've seen him, I have such fond memories of times a group of us spent either playing cards, playing pool or just enjoying each other's company. I remember one thing in particular, was his love of "The Andy Griffith Show" and the "Citizen's Arrest" episode. I can still hear him imitating Gomer Pyle. I know there will be a gaping whole in the lives of Wes's family, friends and loved ones. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in eternal peace."
