In loving memory of

James (Jim) Henry Sewell
November 8, 1926 - June 9, 2019

James (Jim) Henry Sewell, age 92, of Cumming, GA, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019. Jim was born in 1926, to the late Jasper Henry and Myrtice Sewell. He was the oldest male member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Jim served his country for over 22 years in the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eulene Tooter Burruss Sewell, and ten siblings.

He is survived by his children, Danny (Lisa) Sewell, Janet (Donald) Heard, Pam Sewell, Susan (David) Bagley, and Tammy (Scott) Pirkle; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rev. John Lummus, Robert and Wilma Burruss, Nellie and Lane Waldon, and Larry Glass; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; along with many loving family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers and staff from Agape Hospice and The Oaks at Post Road.

Funeral service for Mr. Sewell will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Craig Richard, Rev. Ruel Martin, and Rev. Doug Carnes officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
