Douglas Doug Alan Bollinger, age 57, of Cumming, GA, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. Douglas was born in Charlotte, NC, on December 2, 1961. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and a faithful Christian. He was a member of Beaver Ruin Baptist Church for over 25 years, where he taught the mens Sunday school class each week. Douglas could quote movie lines and tell you the exact scene from the movie it came from. Douglas was a car salesman, and a dedicated employee, for Billy Howell Ford in Cumming, GA, for over 30 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping. He was an avid outdoorsman. Douglas is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Sr. and Madgeline Bollinger, and Melvin and Marjorie Hoover; uncle, Robert Bollinger; aunts, Peggy Hoke, and Perry Bentson; great aunt, Hazel Hoover, and cousin, Robert Bollinger, and brother-in-law, Randy Thompson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Angie Thompson Bollinger of Cumming, GA; parents, Fred and Patricia Bollinger, of Roswell, GA; sons; Jacob Bollinger and his wife, Caitlen; Kendall Bollinger, and Garrett Bollinger all of Cumming, GA; brother, Curtis Bollinger, and his wife Dawn, and their three children: Rachel, Seth, and Matthew Bollinger all of Brooks, GA; Father-in-law, Perry Thompson of Kathleen, GA; mother-in-law, Jan, and her husband Larry Angus, of Martinsburg, West VA; sisters-in-law, Brandie (Tom) McNeal, and their children; Judson, John Michael, and James McNeal, from Kathleen, GA.; and Kimberly (Paul) Savage, and their children: Kinsey, Zach and Adrianna; all from Augusta, GA; nephew and niece, Blake Thompson and Amber Thompson; and cousin, Roger Bollinger.
Funeral service from Mr. Bollinger will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Beaver Ruin Baptist Church in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Michael Millwood and Rev. Roger Shadburn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Beaver Ruin Baptist Church in Cumming, GA, in memory of Doug.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.

"Doug and I coached our oldest boys in football at Bennett Park when they were 11. Jacob and Drew. Doug and I had a blast coaching our two sons together even though they did not win a game...
