"I will MISS my friend Dave Holbrook until I hug his neck again! He, like my father, taught me so much in such a short time. Although I knew him for nearly 20 years I always enjoyed his coming to my home to tune my personal piano. I would schedule my work just to fit his schedule so I could watch him peform his work. His teaching me the Bible even laying flat of his back at Northside Forsyth will forever remain dear to me. I hope God let him know how much I loved him. Rest In Peace my Christian Brother. Love, David C. Cheek and Family"

Carol Andrus Wazlavek wrote on Mar 27, 2019:

"Dave was my piano tuner/technician. On his visits, we commiserated over our mutual experience working at a certain piano store years ago, and discussed today's culture, and child-rearing issues that result in challenges for us piano teachers. He always finished a tuning by playing a tune, I loved to hear him play because he played in the same style my father did - big sonorous open chords in the bass with the melody trickling in octaves away in the treble. It was always like a little visit from my Dad. I will never forget Dave's generosity in referring many students to me and even promoting me on his website. I send prayers of comfort to Jean and family and support people at Dave's Piano."

Sandy Orr wrote on Mar 27, 2019:

"Dave was such a special person. He and Jean and I have been friends almost since childhood. He aways finished my piano tuning with a little boogie woogie music! He knew I loved that! Jean and family, may you find comfort knowing that Dave is at rest now and playing the piano for the heavenly choir! He will be missed by so many . Love to you always ,Jean."
