Peter Bennie III
Peter was born on May 18, 1990 in Minot, N.D., making his parents the happiest they have ever been. Pete passed away on December 29, 2018. His untimely death was the result of losing his battle with addiction. His life was full of zest and gusto.
To know Peter was to love Peter. He would often say, Im a lover, not a fighter. Pete would enter a room with his long hair flowing, and arms swinging lightly. His giggling laugh would be infectious and change the mood. He was loving, kind spirited, and had empathy and compassion for those around him. His coolness, and aura earned him the name of Swaggy.
Peters love for vintage clothing and sneakers went from a hobby to a growing business that he loved. He thought of it as a way to reach out to the younger generation and connect to people. His love of music took him into recording beats and rhymes.
He loved his mother, father, and younger sister through thick and thin. He is survived by family and friends who will forever love him. He will remain in our hearts forever as we remember him.
A service celebrating Peters life will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 1:00pm at Ingram Funeral home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. The viewing will begin at 11:00am directly before the service.

"Me and my business partner Sean Tate met Bennie back in September of 2017. We were just getting starting our venture into vintage clothes and sneakers culture after years of playing college and professional basketball. At this event we met Bennie aka Bennie Backwoods. He came over with his Marylin Manson vintage shirt (which stuck out to me and immmediately sent me back to 1998.) and his flower pants and Jordan sneakers. He came over and tried to talk me down on a couple items but of course I didnt budge. I noticed he was super witty and kind of knew everything about well everything lol. After conversation I realized this was a guy who knew his stuff and I wanted to get to know him more. He eventually supported us and took down both me and Sean IG names. From there it was like we knew Pete our entire lives. Meeting up with him hoping to do some future ventures together. Also giving us advice that to this day we use on the daily. Bennie called me about 2 weeks ago, I returned his call but never got to speak to him again. I wish I got to have one last talk with him. Last time we hung out I had the time of my life while almost breaking my phone on a skateboard. When I got the call a few days ago I couldnt believe it. It hurt my heart but like us, Im sure he touched a lot more people in our culture and industry. I love you Pete and Ill miss you man. You owe me that last phone call and a size 10.5 in my Air Jordans . "
