Myra Pearl Holland
October 14, 1936 - December 23, 2018

Myra Pearl Strickland Holland born October 14, 1936 in Colquitt County Georgia to Jack Bryant and Pearl Iva Morris Strickland.

Myra excelled academically ultimately earning her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University in 1979. Myra retired from the Fulton County School System after 43 years of teaching.

As a loving matriarch, dedicated member of the community, devout Christian, and teacher, Myra touched the lives of many in the community as an active member at First Baptist Church of Cumming, founder of the Angel Connection (a ministry dedicated to single moms), and enjoyed leading a local water aerobics class.

Myra is survived by her beloved husband Curtis Wilburn Holland, 5 siblings, 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Myra is preceded by 1 grandson.

Visitation will be held at Ingram Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 26, 2018, from 5-8PM. The Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Cumming, Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 2PM.

God is good, life is wonderful; and the most important achievements in our lives are the people who have touched our lives in so many ways, especially our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

"I had the great honor and privilege of knowing Myra as a student in her water aerobics class after I had injured my back. Myra was so kind and encouraging. I loved the old-fashioned songs we sang in class as we splashed and exercised in the pool. What an amazing woman and inspiration to all with her joyful attitude and kind spirit.
