Mrs. Betty June Wingo Berry, age 92, of Atlanta, GA, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. Mrs. Berry was born on April 2, 1925, and was raised in Cumming/ Cherokee County, and Graduated from Canton High School. She enjoyed traveling and loved the beach.
She held positions at Sears Roebuck, Bell Aircraft Corp., Bonds Clothing Store, Atlanta Enterprise, Roxy and Capital theatre and Franklin Simon.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Barney Tillman Berry; parents, Roy Neese Wingo and Ollie Wingo; and aunt, Ida Maude Ramsey Byers.
She is survived by her cousin, Peggy Thompson; sister-in-law, Carol (Ralph) Mitchell of Canton; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Graveside services for Mrs. Berry will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, in the Historic Chapel at Midway United Methodist Church from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
