Willie C. Major, age 93 of Forsyth County, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry D. Major; son, Harold Major; granddaughter, Amy Major; son-in-law, John Bishop; brother, W. D. Cox; sister, Betty Puckett. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Martha and Jimmy Smith of Cumming, Janice Bishop of Rebecca, GA; daughter-in-law, Lavone Major of Marietta; sisters, Geneva Newman of FL, Mary Ammons of Alpharetta; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Gerry Cox of Marietta; grandchildren, Meredith (Chris) Lucas of Cumming, Angela (Roger) Baldwin of Cumming, Melanie (Bryan) Waters of Cumming, W. L. Bishop of Silver Spring, MD; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 25th at 11:00 am at Longstreet Baptist Church Cemetery with W. L. Bishop providing the eulogy. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
