"My condolences to David's family and close friends. You have lost someone very dear to your hearts. May it bring you comfort to know that the scriptures bring us hope. John chapter 11, Jesus brought back to life his good friend Lazarus thru the resurrection. May this bring you comfort from the Bible."

"I was blessed to meet David a little over a year ago. It may of just been online but he forever will be in my heart. He served with my brother in Desert Storm. I lost my brother and went in search of finding his Airborne brothers. I meet Dave, he became my big brother. He never called me by my name I was Sissy. We spent alot of time talking. He was always worried about me and checking on me to let me know he was there. Our last conversation was not long ago. He touched my life deeply and became part of my heart. For never meeting him, I grew to know such a loving soul, and a man who loved his Country. I pray he is now pain free. He touched my life forever, and a piece of my heart will always be broken with his loss. I know he and my brother are having a "brothers" Airborne reunion. God bless your family during this time. My prayers are with you. I will forever be grateful and honored that I was able to know him even for a little while. a. Connie ~Sissy"

"Thoughts and Prayers to the family of David Elliott. I had the privilege of serving with Dave in the 82nd Airborne Division and we deployed to combat together during the first Gulf War. We jumped out of planes together, sweat and bled together and embraced the hard times that Infantrymen face together. No bond is any greater than that bond between warriors. Rest in Peace my Brother; until we meet again in the final assembly area. Airborne All The Way!"
