"I was lucky enough to have Kristie McCollister, daughter of Gwyn Watkins purchase my former home 4.5 years ago. During the transition of moving, I was able to meet and get to know Gwyn & Larry who would be sharing the new home with Kristie. As I stopped by for random mail in the following months and even years, Gwyn always welcomed us into their home and was very sweet to my two children and to me. She exuded warmth and always shared her kindness and her smile. Her daughter is a kind and thoughtful person as well, which I believe is a real tribute to the how she was raised by her mother Gwyn. Gwyn A. Watkins, 75, of Cumming, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a reception will follow the service.
