Jean Starr Marshall
February 2, 1939 - April 8, 2012

Jean Starr Marshall, age 73, of Cumming, GA, lost her courageous battle with cancer, Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. Jean moved to Georgia 12 years ago from Gastonia, NC. She was a member of Castleberry Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving husband, John D. Marshall; children, Lisa Huskins and husband Chad, Scotty Oates all of Gastonia, NC, Ricky Oates of Cumming, GA; step children, Bruce Marshall and wife Maria of California, Beth Dorian and husband David of Colorado; sister, Rita Christopher; brothers, Ronnie Starr, Freddie Starr; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Gilbert, Rev. Ronnie Starr officiating. GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from noon to 1p.m. Graveside services will be held at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, NC on April 13 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home in Gastonia, NC. on the 13th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Embracing Hospice 8013 Majors Road Cumming, GA 30041 or Castleberry Road Baptist Church in Cumming, GA 30040.
