"I was so sad to hear of Danny's passing. I stopped into Petco to see how he was doing just before leaving for vacation in June. He had just gotten out of surgery. I was optimistic that he would recover. When I called the hospital to get his room number, they said he was no longer there. I assumed he was discharged. I had no idea that he had passed. I am so sorry to hear this news. Danny was a really special person. He was my dog groomer but also my friend. I really enjoyed talking with him and he loved my dog "Whoppers." He was such a gentle, kind and friendly person. My dearest sympathy to Danny's family. Best,The Heath FamilyAlpharetta"

"I didn't know Danny personally, but i frequently ran into him around the area. I've been acquainted with him since he worked at Dairy Queen. I would always seem to bump into him whether it was at the mall in dawsonville or at wal mart or Petco. He was everywhere!! I was especially pleased to see him on American Idol. I hope he was proud of getting as far as he did and for giving his dream a shot. Most of the rest of us will never do that. He really seemed to enjoy himself. We'll miss you Danny!!"

"Danny and I grew up as childhood bestfriends from daycare thru many years of school. We also ran in to each other many times in and out of stores and would talk and catch up on things. I will never forget him, I was shocked at seeing that he passed away.. Praying for you all... I am sure he is having the time of his life with His Savior in Heaven. He will be greatly missed!!"

"Danny and I went to Kountry Korners together when we were kids. We remained friend all through school. It broke my heart to hear the news of his passing. He was a sweet sweet boy growing up, and I have no doubt he continued to be. I will always remember his smile as the happy child that he was. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time."

"On behalf of Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Parker, and to all of Danny’s other family members and friends. Danny was very dear to us! As a well-respected grooming technician at the Johns Creek PETCO store, Danny was respected both for his abilities as a groomer and for his deep love of animals. He was particularly kind to our rescued animals, and could often be found in our cat adoption center giving his own special brand of TLC to our cats and kittens. In his spare time, he would frequently volunteer to bathe and groom our kitties and in the process helped make them more presentable and adoptable. Danny was extremely popular with everyone associated with the store and with our rescue organization, and his kind heart made him a very special friend to all of us. He will be greatly missed!"
