Steven W. Carter

Canton-Steven Carter, 66, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born on September 18, 1953 in Peoria to William and Carol (Weyhrich) Carter. They preceded him in death.

He married Kathy Anderson-Lomelin on February 22, 1992 in Morgan Hill CA. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Candice Reynolds of KS, Raquel Anacker of Badger CA, Levi Carter of Oklahoma City, OK, William Carter of Conway, AK, three sisters, Terry Reeder of Metamora, Roberta Carter of Trivoli, Connie Cook of CA, thirteen grandchildren and his Uncle Robert Weyhrich and Aunt Virginia Harper.

Steve graduated from Elmwood High School in 1971 and later graduated from Carl Sandburg College and the University of Illinois majoring in Industrial Engineering. He was active in the New Hope Fellowship Church in Farmington and enjoyed studying American Christian History. He was a very patriotic man and he held a Brown Belt in Judo. He loved all outdoor activities, especially camping with his boys and was involved in the Royal Rangers for over 20years. He enjoyed working on and custom painting cars and motorcycles.

Most of all he loved his family and worked hard throughout his life to provide for them.

Cremation rites will be accorded through the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. There will be no services.
