Everett was a veteran of WWII, serving in Europe, and received the Bronze Star for his actions during the Battle of the Bulge. After returning home from WWII, he received his BS degree from Hanover College in Indiana and Theology Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduation from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Everett and Dorothy served as missionaries for the Southern Baptist Home Mission Board in New Mexico. Everett later spent 20 years teaching High School in Bagdad, AZ, where he also served as a bi-vocational pastor of a local church. After retirement, Everett and Dorothy traveled and spent many wonderful summers in the mountains of Arizona enjoying fishing, hiking, reading, and crocheting. Everett will be missed by all of us, but we find comfort knowing he is now truly Home.

"I only had the blessing of knowing Everett, for about seven months. But every day I got to see and speak with him was wonderful. It was a pleasure to know him and and his daughter Linda. They always had smiles on when I met with them. Everett will be sadly missed but, I?m glad to know he?s in heaven. I thank the family for sharing their husband and father with me. Love, Michael Ziegler. "
