"The best memories of my cousin Mark were whenever we were together we were always laughing and having a good time. Whether it was him laughing while I tried to speak in sign language or just being together and laughing about everything. I love you Mark and sorry you had to leave so soon."

"Mark was a patient person I got to know from my job at UPS with him.. I wanted to talk to him and he let me spell words (because I knew the ABC's in ASL) he'd write me notes in response...over the years I learned shortcuts so I didn't have to spell it out. (my first word was what) I can see him now...I will miss Mark Thornton. RIP"

"Mark you are a wonderful friend and always made me feel loved and important. You lived your life on earth as a man who would bend over backwards just to put a smile on someone else's face. I can sign the alphabet and I know how to sign a couple other words bcuz of u. You were my only deaf friend so u were the only one I know who never told me that I needed to slow down when I talk...lol and for that I will never forget u. RIP"
