Gordon A. Weaver
Canton - Gordon A. Weaver, 80, of Canton, passed away at 11:05 am Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1939 in Canton to William J. and Arabelle "Irene" (Henderson) Weaver. Gordon married Mary L. Eveland in September 1960. She survives along with two sons; Randy A. (Tammy) Weaver and Eric D. (Teresa) Weaver both of Canton, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
Gordon was a Canton Fire Fighter for 26 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Illinois Fire Fighters Association and a charter member of the Canton Fire Fighters Association. Gordon was a NASCAR fan and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Canton. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. Memorials can be made to Canton Fire Department. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements. A Facebook Live Stream will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 starting at 2 pm.
Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
