Janet Bonanni, 69, of Marquette, died Thursday morning, April 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
She was born October 25, 1948 in Calumet, a daughter of the late Edward and Winnie (Winquist) Kentala. She was a 1966 graduate of Calumet High School and attended NMU.
On August 31, 1968 she married Michael Bonanni in Hubbell, Michigan.
Janet was employed as a secretary for the State of Michigan Corrections Department at the Marquette Branch prison for 27 years and retired in 2005.
Her interests included camping, skiing, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her husband, Michael Bonanni of Marquette; sons, Gregg (Kirstin) Bonanni of Skandia and Steven (Beth) Bonanni of Marquette; grandchildren, Gavin, Alyssa, Bryanna and Logan; sister, Diane (Ray) Tiberg of Calumet; and brother, Roger Kentala of Calumet.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11 am at St. Louis the King Catholic Church with Rev. Glenn Theoret officiating. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
