"I'll never forget you were the first boy to ever call me pretty. It made me nervous, but I still sat by you on the bus every day in the "cool kid seat", the back seat. We'd joke around and you were so positive, not like the rest of the kids from our town. Those blue eyes were what I saw when I heard about your passing. I couldn't believe it and still can't believe it. I saw you just a week before at my birthday party with your beautiful girlfriend. I hadn't seen you in years, and I'm putting the jello shots in the fridge and all I heard was your voice and instantly knew it was you! You were a great childhood friend, you were kind, had a wonderful singing voice, I remember when you sang in middle school, it caught us all off guard in the best way. Rest in peace."

"Nick- Im overcome with countless memories, most of which are truly just moments; passing remarks, your laughter, your voice uniting with others during Chorale, but they all share the vibrant light you seemed surrounded by. You were always quick with a kind word, I swear you could make anyone laugh, and your sweet smile was a dependable bright spot in any day. I only wish you had known how very special you were. We may have only shared moments, but I will never forget your light"
