BETTY A. DUCOLI
April 10, 1927 - December 17, 2009

Betty A. Ducoli, 82, of 222 S. Fifth St., Marquette, died Thursday morning, December 17, 2009 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee where she had been a patient for one day.

Mrs. Ducoli was born on April 10, 1927 in Marquette to Bert J. and Julia L. (Sorenson) Nichols and was raised by Fred and Elizabeth Lindquist.

Betty was employed at the former St. Luke's Hospital in Marquette, later working in the food service department at Northern Michigan University. She eventually moved to Colorado where she worked for the Navartis Pharmaceutical Company, retiring in 1991 and returning to Marquette to be close to her children.

Betty was known for the photo albums she produced for family. She always put her family first and worked very hard to give her children a good life. And her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by six children, William J. (Barbara) Brisson of Marquette, Julie (Daryl Vandenbloomer) Brennan of Green Bay, WI, Jane (Lore) Vogelbacher) Brisson of AuTrain, Kathryn (Ted) Thill of Marquette, Patricia (James) Landsparger of Broomfield, Co and Elizabeth (Dave) Vadnais of Marquette; one sister, Jane McNees of Benton Harbor, MI; a cousin, Lois and Floyd Miller of Frankenmuth, MI; grandchildren, Heather, Brisson, Stephen Brisson, Molly (Tony) Gore, Shannon (Mike) Joachim, Michael (Miranda Diggles) Brennan, Nikki and Jason Prunick, Daniel (Melody) Thill, Jason (Melissa) Thill, Adam (Jennie) Thill, Melissa (Chad) Deisher, Brian (Kristie) Landsparger, Katie (Paul) Schoonveld and Chelsie Vadnais; also surviving are seven cherished great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Timothy Ekaitis officiating. Burial will take place in the Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Betty's grandchildren, Michael Brennan, Jason Prunick, Steve Brisson, Katie Schoonveld, Chelsie Vadnais, Dan, Jason and Adam Thill.
