JOHN R. STOLL
June 8, 1922 - January 25, 2007

John R. Stoll, 84, Green Bay, died on Thursday, January 25, 2007. He was born June 8, 1922 to the late John R. and Martha (Froehingsdorf) Stoll. John married Shirley Vonck August 10, 1946 in Marquette, Mich. She preceded him in death on August 17, 2001. Both were graduates of Marquette Graveraet High School. He was a lifetime member for 61 years of the Escanaba Elks Club. He also belonged to the American Legion Sullivan Wallen Post, the 87th Infantry Division Association, also served under General Patton during WWII. He was also a 55 year member of the Green Bay Downtown Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow.

John is survived by sons, John R. (Pamela) Stoll, Ledgeview and Richard C. Rick Stoll (Kathryn Erdmann), Green Bay; daughters, Debra Ann (James) Johnson, Madison and Patricia Marie (Paul) Timmerman, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Arrington Lee Stoll, John R. Jack Stoll, Aaron James Johnson, Nicole Lynn Johnson, Elyse Deann Johnson, Emily Marie Timmerman, Jennifer Lynn Timmerman, Danielle Marie Stoll and Robert Charles Stoll. He is further survived by one brother-in-law, Raymond L. (Ann) Vonck, Marquette, Mich.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gathering time for family and friends will be held Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Canale-Tonella Funeral Home, 526 N. Third Street, Marquette, Mich., from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 29, 2007 at St. Peter Cathedral, 301 West Baraga, Marquette, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Francis Ricca officiating. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette, Michigan.
