In loving memory of

HARRY KROLL
January 9, 1935 - October 6, 2006

Harry Kroll, age 71, of 230 W. Iron Street, Gwinn, died Friday afternoon, October 6, 2006 at his home with his loving family at his side.

Mr. Kroll was born on January 9, 1935 in Posen, Michigan to the late Louis and Sophie (Pilarski) Kroll. He worked as a supervisor at the Presque Isle Corporation until his retirement in 1981. He and his wife moved to the Gwinn area in 2002.

Harry enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, taking drives with his family, playing cards and reading. He loved to work with wood, making things for his family. He also enjoyed helping out at charity events.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council in Posen.

Survivors include his wife, the former Gertrude Modrzynski who he married on September 3, 1955; six children, Harry S. Kroll, Dr. Catherine (Michael Prokopowicz) Kroll, Margaret (Kris) Haralson, Frank (Susan) Kroll, Mathew (Connie) Kroll and Sherri Kroll; grandchildren, Randy Kroll, Renee Gerrie, Ryan Kroll, Nicholas Kroll, Whitney Kroll, Jacob Haralson, Kaileena Haralson, Jordon Kroll, Taylor Kroll, Clara Kroll and Benjamin Kroll; three sisters, Blanche (Edmund) Konieczny, Eleanor (James) Dembny and Sally (Donald) Kuznicki; also several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death besides his parents was a son, Luke Kroll and a granddaughter, Morgan Kroll.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City where a parish prayer service will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to the mass. Interment will take place in the St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mr. Krolls memory to St. Casimirs Church in Posen, Michigan; the Marquette General Foundation, 420 W. Magnetic St., Marquette, MI 49855 or to the Lake Superior Hospice Association, 326 N. Front St., Marquette, MI 49855.
