Dorothy will always be remembered as a person whos heart was bigger than all of us. A wonderful person always wishing for a big family, she succeeded by raising many relatives and witnessing several generations. A great woman, Dorothy balanced shyness with strength. A lifetime survivor of polio, she gained much strength through diversity and determination from her disability. She was known to be a caring woman who gave much praise and encouragement.
Dorothy was a caregiver, someone who always shared when asked and was a conversationalist. She enjoyed her many hobbies and crafts. Her passions included miniature doll houses and doll creations, her flower gardens, berry picking, cats and her love of nature. She further enjoyed history, mystery novels and memorabilia, but nothing more than always being connected with her family.
Private graveside services were held today at Northland Chapel Gardens with Chaplain Leon Jarvis officiating.
