"Joe & Dennis... I am still in shock at reading Renee's obituary tonight. I know how much she so loved each of you, and how truly sad and shocked you both must be. Marla, my wife, and I share our sincere sympathy at the tragic loss of your Mom and Wife. Although I had not seen Renee lately, during my time as Superintendent of Schools in Big Bay, as well as during the time I assisted Renee with the suit against MSHS, I had always admired how she was willing to fight for you, Joe. And so often, she would say that she only wanted what was fair. Her untimely death seems so unfair. It is so important to believe, though we grieve her loss today, that love lives on forever in each memory and thought, and that it will never fade away. For in our hearts we know that Renee will be with us all, each day, in her own special way, from her place with God above. We wish you the strength and courage it will take to weather this sad, sad storm. God bless you both, your friends and other family members. Our deepest sympathy and love is with you all. Bob and Marla Koehs."
