Beulah Louise Markantony
December 4, 1915 - April 30, 2002

Beulah Louise Markantony, 86, of 406 W. Crescent Street, Marquette, died peacefully Tuesday morning, April 30, 2002 at her home.

Mrs. Markantony was born on December 4, 1915 at Stambaugh, Michigan to the late Richard and Adeline (Young) Morgan. She was a graduate of Graveraet Senior High School in 1933. On June 15, 1957, she married Anthony J. Markantony at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette.

Beulah previously worked for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company in Milwaukee as a clerk for approximately 16 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Anthony J. Markantony of Marquette; one brother, Glenn (Margaret) Morgan of Marquette; two sisters, Dorothy Carlson of Marquette and Beatrice Golberg of Iron River; two nieces, Nancy Tessler of Chicago, IL and Mary (Carl) Nurmi of Negaunee. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Goodman and Jean Morrow and also a brother, Donald Morgan.

Visitation will be on Friday beginning at 10 a.m. in the Bishops Room of St. Peter Cathedral until a Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for 12 p.m. in the Cathedral with the Rev. Msgr. Louis C. Cappo officiating. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Major, Michael Bur, Carl Nurmi, Joe Peruski, Glenn Morgan and John Molby.
