Carl Edward Bjornell
November 7, 1925 - April 1, 2002

Carl Edward Bjornell, 76, of Oakwood Village, Marquette, died Monday evening at Marquette General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Bjornell was born November 7, 1925 in Marquette, a son of the late Edward and Ruth (Eliasson) Bjornell.

Carl served in the army and was a WWII veteran. He was employed for several years as a custodian and a circus and carnival clown.

He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and also attended the Marquette Missionary Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and clowning.

Carl is survived by his children, George (Poula) Bjornell of Denver, CO, Edward Duane (Terri) Bjornell of Marquette, Adele (Steve) Morrison of Marquette and Paul Empen of Ishpeming; sisters, Ruth Aho of Florida and Lois Williams of Ishpeming; numerous grandchildren; and special friends, Gloria and Steve Rinne, Gary and Linda Fugate, Jeanette Fugate, Les Foster and friend, Milton.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2002 at 10 am in the Marquette Missionary Church with the Rev. Glen Bearss officiating.
