Carol J. Reschka
January 3, 1957 - March 7, 2002

Carol Jane Reschka, 45, of 465A Silver Creek Road, Marquette, died early Thursday morning, March 7, 2002 at her home after a seven month illness.

Mrs. Reschka was born on January 3, 1957 at Big Rapids, Michigan and had lived in the Marquette area since November of 1998. She was employed by Econo Foods at the service counter.

Carol found much enjoyment from gardening and the culinary arts, which she approached with a passion. She won many ribbons at the U.P. State Fair for her cooking, plants, painting and canning.

Carol is survived by her husband, Walter J. Sonny Reschka whom she married on October 2, 1988 at Dearborn Heights, Michigan; five children, Steven (Kristi) Kenward of Kapolei, HI, Stacey Kenward of Frazier, MI, Alex Reschka of St. Clair Shores, MI, Taylor Reschka and Alaina Reschka, both at home; a granddaughter, Ivy Kenward; her parents, Glenn and Marion Jefts of Mecosta, MI; four brothers, Larry R. (Louise) Jefts of MLoa, HI, Duane (Cathy) Jefts of Lake St. Louis, MO, John C. (Cinda) Jefts of Stanwood, MI and Paul (Denise) Jefts of Rodney, MI; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home on Monday, March 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen E. Rhoades of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Big Rapids.
