Robin J. R. Murphy, 48, of 316 Pine Street, Marquette, died Thursday afternoon due to an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Murphy was born June 22, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Robin D. and LaVerne Murphy.
Robin worked as an accountant for Taxi Tycoon in Marquette and he also spent much of his time volunteering with local groups in the area.
He is survived by his mother, LaVerne Bilderbeck of Detroit; step-mother, Pina Murphy of Marquette; brothers, Jeremiah (Sherri) Murphy of Cadillac and Charles Murphy of Saudi Arabia; a sister, Faye Murphy of Detroit; and nephews, Daniel Ryan, Patrick Joseph and Sean Murphy. His father, Robin D. Murphy preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Robins name may wish to consider the American Heart Association at 3940 Peninsular Drive, SE, Grand Rapids, MI.
