Charles Rankin Ressler, 67, of 199 Abrahams Road, Skandia, passed away Thursday evening August 30, 2001 at Marquette General Hospital.
Mr. Ressler was born November 25, 1933, in South Lyons, Michigan, a son of the late Robert & Clara (Berry) Ressler. On June 24, 1956 he married the former Jeanette Wood in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Ressler had been a resident of Marquette County since 1972.
Charlie was employed for most of his working years as an avionics mechanic with the United States Air Force. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of Skandia; three children, Dave Ressler of Ypsilanti, Melissa Binns of Gwinn and Tom (Diane) Ressler of Houghton; three brothers, Sam (Iris) Ressler of South Lyons, Buster (Maxine) Ressler of Cheyboygan, Robert (Lo) Ressler of Atlanta, MI; a sister, Clara Wilson of Romulus; grandchildren, Chris & Andy Binns of Gwinn, Toni Ressler of Monterey, CA, Katie (Bill) Hirt of Rockford, MI, Brian & Dean Ressler of Houghton; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Ressler.
A private service will be held at the familys convenience.
