"I am so sorry for your loss. I am, in complete shock and utterly heartbroken. We were in Podiatry school together and were housemates together. Steve will always be known for everything he accomplished in podiatry, but I feel he was way more accomplished as a person who was always willing to help. His laughter will always bring a smile to my face and his friendship will always be with me. I was very blessed to have him in my life and will always cherish his memory. He is loved by so many people, classmates( class of 91), colleagues, friends and family. I could go on and on. Nothing can ease the hurt of his loss but I hope you can take comfort that his legacy will continue in all the lives he touched , Our prayers are with you and God bless Buff and Liz De La Rosa "
"Life is so fragile. An amazing husband and father. The loss to his family is profound. And also such a loss to the profession of podiatry. He will be missed, but I?m so grateful for the contribution he made to the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and our profession. Goodbye my friend. :("
