"I am a best friend of Chase's proud Grandmother, Irma. My heart aches for all of your family and all of Chase's many friends at the Detour Company. What you have lost, heaven has gained. Keeping you close in thought and prayer. Terry"
CHASE CHAUVIN BOUTERIE, 21, received his perfected body on 28, September 2018 at John C Lincoln Hospital at Dunlap & 3rd St. Chase was an Arizona native born in Phoenix as a very very premature baby. He was due at Easter but born at Thanksgiving at 1 pound 12 ounces on 26, November 1996.
He was the son of Brian "BOOTs!" Bouterie and Melisa Marie (Taylor) Bouterie. His brother was Colton Taylor Bouterie ASU 2017. Chase had Cerebral Palsy & Bipolar Disorder but it NEVER slowed him down. He walked well, played basketball, and enjoyed family outings to the movies, dining and camping. He began his education at PARADISE VALLEY CHRISTIAN PREPARATORY at 24th St/Cactus and Graduated High School at BANNER ACADEMY at University/Priest. His Sacramental Life was spent at his Family Parish St Paul Roman Catholic Church in Moon Valley. As he got older, he discovered a love of music, piano and acting. Chase had substantial roles for DETOUR COMPANY THEATRE in plays like "Addams Family Musical," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and was Zack Mooneyhan in the Summer 2018 production of "School of Rock" at the Scottsdale Center of the Performing Arts. Chase will be remembered for his perseverance: even through his body and mind slowed him, his spirit was intact and compelled him to achieve whatever he put his mind to. He is also survived by his canine brother, Blue.

"David has been a part of Detour since its first show, The Wizard of Oz, and has made many friends over the years. Each performance has been special but when Chase joined his first cast in The Adams Family, Detour took on a special star. He was amazing to watch and a joy to listen to his singing voice. Your loss is a loss to all of the Detour family and he will be greatly missed. Thank you for sharing him with us. May God's peace be with you. Marge & David Mayes"
"I had the privilege of being Chase's preschool teacher at Paradise Valley Christian Preparatory. I remember praying for him with my students after he was born prematurely. What a miracle! As a student in my class, I remember that he was always happy and had a great sense of humor. He never gave up! You are now made whole, Chase! I can picture you singing and dancing before the Lord! I am thankful that I got to know you!"
"How wonderful that Chase's life took the amazing detour that brought him and so many others joy through his performing. As a member of Detour Company, Chase was an example of courage, strength, and diligence. We were all lucky that Chase shared his enthusiasm with us. We will all miss him."

"Chase was something special! He also always came to Detour with a smile and ready to work. He was such a joy to be around and willing to do whatever was asked of him. I appreciated his Up and Coming Grease and Little Mermaid and his Addams Family, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and School of Rock roles. He was a great addition to the Detour family and will be greatly missed."
