Bruce Nelson Staples, 79, passed this life August 27, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley Thunderbird PCU in Glendale surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his devoted wife Phyllis of 59 years; daughter Brenda Kagi and husband Bret of Glendale; son Leonard Staples and wife Bobbi of Payson; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Bruce started his career of 30+ years as a machinist and was soon promoted to Supervisor for Garrett Engineering, Air Research, Aerospace, and Honeywell. Once retired he focused on family, tinkering in his garage, fishing and riding around Payson in his Polaris and going to yard sales. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching old cowboy movies.
He will be remembered as a great family man, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bruce's family would like to say Thank You to H.O.V. Thunderbird PCU for the special care given to him.
Memorial service will be at 5:00 PM Friday August 31, 2018 at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix 85020.
