Faramarz (Frank) Boorboor of Cave Creek, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the age of 77. Frank was born in Tehran, Iran on January 14, 1941 to Gholam Reza Boorboor and Effatt Aliabadi.
Frank departed his homeland, a country he loved and honored, to begin a new journey in the United States of America on July 20, 1967. Frank was welcomed by his brother Foroohar in Albany, New York.
Frank's first job in the States was as a bus boy at The Clinton Hotel. With limited English and an abundance of ambition, Frank quickly impressed the management and became a night clerk. In September of 1967 Frank met his future wife Monica Brejwo, they married February 1, 1969. Two weeks after Frank committed to loving his wife for life, he also committed to what became the start of his illustrious career. Frank began working in the Masking department at Chromalloy American Corporation in Orangeburg, New York. His strong work ethic, personality and thirst to learn was quickly noticed. Frank ended his career with Chromalloy Turbine Analysis as The Vice President of Small Engines Operations. Frank moved to Phoenix, Arizona in order to begin a new position and role with Advanced Materials Technologies in 1993. The working relationships Frank developed internationally evolved into an anomaly. The depth of his commitment to his customers, his peers, and his employees is unlike most have ever experienced.
The passion Frank had for his work did not compare to the fervor he held for his family. Frank established his family in Suffern, New York. Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years Monica; his daughters Nina and Renee; his son-in-law Ezio Bucci; his future son-in-law Kenneth Crossland; his four beautiful grandchildren Joseph, McKenzie, Nikki and Carina; his adorable great-grandson Easton (whom all adored their Papa); his brother Farivar; his loving sister Flora; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. To him "family is unconditional love", a statement he made often and displayed every minute of his being. Frank is predeceased by his parents and his brothers Fariborz and Foroohar.
You cannot find in the dictionary a word that can truly describe Frank. If you were fortunate enough to spend a minute with him you would understand, he is a feeling. Frank is joy, he is compassion, he is strength, he is humor, he is comfort, he is confidence, he is love.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday September 9, 2018 at 2:00pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale, Arizona 85254.

"When I opened my shop 8 years ago, he was one of the first customers to come through my doors. Little did I know that I had met a brother. His generosity and love for people, especially his family, changed my outlook on life.
The news of his passing has placed the deepest scar in my heart. I will miss him forever and he will live in my heart for as long as it beats. I wish that everyone in this community and in the world had gotten the chance to meet him, so that they would know how blessed we all are to have shared our existence with his. My love and condolences to his wife and family."

"I already miss my Amoo so much it hurts because I know the "feeling" described here. I feel so grateful I got to know Amoo better in the last several years, not just as my dad's brother, but as an individual. The few days I spent in Arizona was the only one on one time I got with him as an adult and I absorbed every story I could. He may not have known how to navigate the grocery store (I know he told everyone this story because he loved to make people laugh) but he took care of people. He was a giving man who loved his family and friends fiercely.
I also got to learn a bit about how he approached his work. He saw his biggest talent as seeing others' talent and putting them in the right positions to thrive. That will always stick with me.
I thought we had many more poolside chats ahead of us and I grieve those conversations that will never happen while celebrating the way he lived with love and beauty, the Boorboor way.
My heart breaks for Monica, Renee, Nina, and the entire family. I wish none of us had to know this pain. May it be lightened a little knowing he is definitely partying with my dad right now.
Sending you all of my love,
Emma"
