In loving memory of

Lisa Dawn Svoboda

Lisa Dawn Svoboda, 53, born April 3, 1965 in Casa Grande, Arizona. Daughter of Charles "Sunny" Reed and DeLores LaJune Baughman. Mother to Lillianna, 10 and Jessica, 34. She was a good sister, a caring aunt, a loyal friend and a dedicated officer for the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Lisa was a very compassionate person who would offer a word of encouragement, a necessary truth or a simple southern pleasantry. She was as professional as they come, raised her girls to be strong and intelligent and loved spending time with her grandchildren. To say she will be missed is not saying enough. All who knew her will forever cherish her wisdom, her kindness and her beautiful smile. Peace be with her as she walks with the Angels.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday August 25, 2018 at Hansen Chapel,
8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020.

"I met Lisa while we went through the Leadership Institute together 2-3 years ago. She became my buddy and we spent a lot of time together during our conferences. She was a dedicated officer but more obvious was that she was a loving and proud mother who talked a lot about her girls. I will miss you very much. Not "goodbye" but until we see each other again. God speed my friend."

"Jessica and Lilly - I was so fortunate to meet your mom through the American Probation and Parole Association and was her sponsor as she went through their Leadership Institute. She was so passionate about her job and the people she worked with...always wanting to see them do better. I was heartbroken when I learned she was ill. She was a truly special person and I am so blessed to have met her. I will miss her beautiful smile and laughter. You are both so lucky to have had her as a mother. Prayers to you both and the rest of your family."
