In loving memory of

Glenna Jean Schneider

Glenna Jean Schneider began her heavenly stroll free from cancer's cruel grip on August 14, 2018. She touched many lives through her innumerable acts of giving as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, mentor, and friend. She is now, most certainly, one of the great guardian angels.

Glenna grew up in rural Nebraska and had a deep love for horses. She became a nurse in 1964 and worked in various hospitals throughout the state until she moved to Arizona in 1998. While in Arizona she worked at Casa Grande Medical Center, followed by Banner Boswell Medical Center where she retired as House Supervisor in 2012.

She is survived by Cliff, her husband of 53 years; children, Tamara and Bryan; grandchildren, Colin and Kamryn; brother Ken and sister Carol.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Glenna can be made to All Saints Lutheran Church or to the Melanoma Research Foundation supporting ocular melanoma research by noting "CURE OM" on the donation. More information can be found at https://www.melanoma.org/research-center/cure-ocular-melanoma.

There will be a celebration of eternal life at All Saints Lutheran Church, 15649 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85022 on Saturday, August 25, 2018, gathering at 10:00 AM followed by food and fellowship. Visit https://hansenmortuary.wpengine.com for condolences.

"Clifford and family, Arlo and I send our deepest condolences. I went to school in McCool Jct, Ne with Glenna. She was one grade behind me. Even then she always seemed cool and calm as I have read in many of her msgs. I am so glad that we came out a couple of years ago with fellow classmates and spent quality time with both Cliff and Glenna. She fought a valiant fight for so many years with her cancer. May God bless her family during this sad time. God has a special nurse angel up there. Love to Cliff and family. Pat and Arlo"

"I am so sorry for your loss! Glenna was a very supportive but "matter of fact old school nurse" who was a great House Supervisor. But what I remember most about her was her smile and her laugh! My sincerest heartfelt sympathies go out to all of her family but most especially to Cliff. Being a widow myself know how it feels to lose "half" of youself, because that is exactly how it feels. I wish there were some magic words I could say to make the pain go away, but that's not possible. All I can say is pray, pray pray, and then pray some more. May Jesus give you the strength to get thru this pain and sorrow, and carry you during the moments when you feel your are just not going to be able to make it thru. May our Heavenly Father surround you and your family with His love, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. My prayers are with you and your family and I leave you with this verse...... "Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave, where is thy victory?""
