Susan Yardley Moyes, 69, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2018, at Scottsdale, AZ. She is the wife of Jay I. Moyes. Susan was born in Cedar City, UT, to Wm. Roy Yardley and Mildred Lindsay Yardley. She loved the small-town life growing up in Beaver, UT.
After graduating High School in Beaver, she earned a B.A. Degree from Brigham Young University, where she met Jay. They were married for time and eternity in the St. George Temple in 1970. Susan was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her life exemplified the Gospel of Christ through service to her family and friends, and in various Church leadership positions. Her life revolved around her beautiful 9 children, their spouses and 27 grandchildren, and dear friends. Her hobby was extensively decorating her home for every different holiday and season throughout each year. She cherished frequent trips to her Beaver home where the family always celebrated Christmas, Mormon Pioneer Day and other family events with her extended Yardley family. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and remarkably detailed memory of relationships and events.
Susan is survived by her husband, her children, Melissa Davis (Matt), Tiffani Clinger (Mark), Jason Moyes (Kris), Amber Olson (Cody), Ashlee Bledsoe (Jeff), Trevor Moyes (Kaitlin), Chelsea Petersen (Nathan), Lindsay Andersen (Brandon) and Jordan Moyes; and 27 treasured grandchildren ages 6 months to 23 years.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale, 85254. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m., at the Scottsdale North Stake LDS chapel at 6840 E. Gold Dust Ave., Scottsdale, 85253, preceded by visitation at the chapel from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Susan's mortal remains will be returned to her beloved Beaver for burial in the beautiful Mountain View Cemetery, where there will be a brief graveside service for family and public on Saturday, June 16, at 11:00 a.m.
